About the role

As a Business Affairs Manager based in Tokyo, reporting to the Business Affairs Director, you will review, negotiate, and draft proposals and agreements related to investment deals for Crunchyroll’s growing slate of Japanese animation contents, working closely with the Content team, summarize deal terms, organize documents, check and communicate contractual requirements with relevant internal counterparts. 

In the role of Business Affairs Manager, you will report to the Business Affairs Director.

About You

We get excited about candidates, like you, because...

• 5+ years of Japanese Entertainment Industry based licensing, co-investment, and business affairs experience.

• Passion for Anime, Japanese culture, Entertainment industry

• Experienced at drafting and interpreting co-investment, licensing agreements, etc.

• Native to Business Level Japanese language skills (writing/speaking/reading).

• Business level in English (writing/speaking/reading)

About the Team

As part of Crunchyroll's Content team, the Business Affairs team in Tokyo supports the Content team on developments and investment projects, providing consultation on deal strategies, negotiations, rights clearance and communicate internally across relevant departments, and manage associated financial, legal and business risks.
