We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our European proprietary trading business. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in expanding our trading operations, identifying new business opportunities, and building strategic partnerships. This role requires a deep understanding of financial markets, excellent networking skills, and a proven track record in business development.

What you'll do:

  • Drive the growth of Jump’s core EMEA trading business.
  • Research and present business opportunities to internal stakeholders.
  • Provide input into the design and implementation of multi-faceted business strategy.
  • Partner with Quantitative Research Teams to leverage Jump Trading’s world class strategy generation capabilities across multiple products and asset classes.
  • Establish yourself as the go-to person in your designated areas for research, business, operations, technology, and leadership teams.
  • Build and manage internal and external relationships to deliver complex projects and support the pursuit of significant revenue growth.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and technological advancements in the trading sector.
  • Further enhance important relationships with exchanges, regulators, industry organisations, prime brokers, and infrastructure providers.
  • Represent Jump Trading at external events, conferences, meetings as required to build business.
  • Explore and manage relevant ventures and strategic partnerships.
  • Analyse competitive landscape and industry developments to inform business strategies.
  • Other duties as assigned or needed.

Skills you’ll need: 

  • Commercially minded, entrepreneurial, proven business developer.
  • At least seven years of experience in Futures, Equities, Emerging Markets or Commodities in either sales, trading, operational, support or another role.
  • Strong understanding of financial products/markets, trading strategies, and regulatory environment in EMEA.
  • Working knowledge of relevant exchanges, venues, and trading protocols.
  • Experience within a top tier Investment bank, quantitative trading firm, broker, exchange, or vendor.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects in parallel through to successful completion.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; an ability to communicate both technical and business content effectively.
  • A degree in a relevant subject with high academic achievements.
