We are looking for a Business Development Manager who brings exceptional business acumen, strong negotiation skills and creative and analytical perspective to business development and growth partnerships. This person will be passionate about the way Lyft can work with technology partners and businesses to add value to Lyft’s Driver and Electrification business units. 

As a member of this team, you will work closely with world-class Lyft product, operations, & business teams, collaborate with our broader emerging business development team, and engage with some of the world’s most influential companies. These strategic partnerships are major growth drivers for Lyft and in this role you will lead the ideation, cross functional collaboration, and execution of these impactful initiatives. 

Responsibilities:

  • Identify, shape, and deliver the vision and roadmap for strategic opportunities that align to Lyft’s mission and vision for our Driver and Electrification efforts. 
  • Lead the negotiation and execution of complex and impactful deals, while engaging with and aligning cross-functional teams across product, engineering, marketing, PR, legal, finance and data science internally and externally
  • Demonstrate strong qualitative and quantitative analytical skills in order to unlock the best value of your partnerships. Track, analyze, and communicate key performance metrics, feedback, and learnings to internal stakeholders. 
  • Maintain active relationships with partners, including proactively resolving business and technical issues and serving as an internal advocate
  • Lead regular business reviews internally and externally with key executives and leadership
  • Envision new ways that strategic partnerships can positively impact core business objectives by applying creativity and business acumen
  • Embrace Lyft's values externally with partner organizations and teams

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of business development, partnerships, strategy, and/or similar roles
  • Strong understanding and interest in Lyft and competitive landscape
  • Highly analytical, innovative thinker and data driven, but also a creative problem solver. Track record of using data to inform strategy.
  • Ability to create thoughtful financial and business-driven, actionable recommendations, and quickly build consensus with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive, and handle uncertainty and ambiguity
  • Experience bringing and scaling new and emerging products/business lines to market.
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills

This role will be in-office on a hybrid schedule — Team Members will be expected to work in the office 3 days per week on Mondays, Thursdays and a team-specific third day. Additionally, hybrid roles have the flexibility to work from anywhere for up to 4 weeks per year.

The expected base pay range for this position in the San Francisco area is $105,750 - $117,500. Salary ranges are dependent on a variety of factors, including qualifications, experience and geographic location. Range is not inclusive of potential equity offering, bonus or benefits.
