This is a hybrid role (~3 days in office) based out of our HQ in Somerville MA.

 

Position Summary:

As the Business Development Representative (BDR) Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of BDRs focused on both inbound and outbound lead generation efforts. Reporting directly to the Head of Marketing, you will play a pivotal role in driving the company's pipeline and overall company growth through strategic initiatives and effective team management. The ideal candidate will be data-driven, possess strong leadership skills, and have previous experience in managing and scaling BDR teams.

 

What skills do I need? 

  • 4-5 years minimum sales/BDR experience
  • 1-2+ years of BDR management experience with a proven track record of successfully managing and scaling BDR teams in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Salesforce or similar CRM platforms, with the ability to create and interpret reports independently.
  • Familiarity with outbound email tools, dialers, and call recording tools (nice to have – experience with our tech stack, Salesloft, Gong, Zoominfo, Orum)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to leverage data to drive strategic decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively coach, motivate, and inspire team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own results and drive achievement of key performance metrics for teams - pipeline generation, opportunity creation, meetings, and leading metrics like activity, personalization, and conversion by reviewing data and driving improvements
  • Establish quotas, and compensation plans to drive accountability and motivate team members towards achieving targets.
  • Drive outbound pipeline generation through outreach activities consisting of cold calling, personalized email outreach, and LinkedIn outreach.
  • Optimize inbound lead management processes by promptly responding to inquiries, customizing messaging, and maximizing lead conversion rates.
  • Develop and maintain a repeatable playbook for BDR activities, ensuring consistency and effectiveness in lead generation efforts.
  • Collaborate with Ops teams to address system and process issues, ensuring smooth lead flow and effective CRM utilization.
  • Oversee and mentor, and grow inbound and outbound team leads
  • Lead recruitment efforts to hire additional BDR team members, ensuring alignment with company goals and culture.
  • Develop and implement training programs to onboard new team members and enhance the performance of existing ones.
  • Work closely with cross functional team members across marketing, sales, and GTM ops and the leadership team to align BDR initiatives with overall company objectives.
