VaynerMedia London is searching for a motivated, and highly organised person to join the Client Partnerships team as a Business Director.

You must be someone who is hands on and not afraid to roll up your sleeves, especially in these early days of establishing our presence in the market, and really passionate about your people, their development and creating a culture where they can thrive.

Here’s where you come in…

  • Run a portfolio of clients and be the primary point of contact for senior clients, helping to drive best-in-class client services, creative and social media expertise.
  • Having regular 1-2-1’s and spending as much face time (virtually or IRL) with clients to help spot and drive incremental account opportunities.
  • Partner with clients and stakeholders to truly understand their needs and the pressures on them - to develop a trusting relationship and ensure we deliver strong results. (Our clients’ challenges become ours! We need to understand their highly individual market conditions, and the levers of growth to focus on that will drive business results).
  • Working with the VP of Client Partnerships in London to help drive consistent ways of working, team development and recruitment across the EMEA region.
  • Manage your direct reports’ day to day development and aid their performance whilst inspiring, motivating, and mentoring your Client Service team.
  • Collaborate with the team leaders in other departments and across markets (Strategy, Creative, Production, Project Management, Analytics/Insights, Media) to improve and execute on client deliverables, process, and output.
  • Help drive new business across Europe, working closely with office partners to shape pitches and RFI’s.
  • Help drive fame for our work in the region, by driving our PR and social media presence, working closely with your EMEA PR partners.
  • Be the escalation point on key accounts to help guide and contribute to the development of strategic recommendations, creative ideas and deliverables.
  • Help to manage resource and client issues, managing up when needed to your department lead.
  • Be familiar with various comms opportunities across the marketing mix, including Paid Media and Measurement opportunities in social and digital, to provide client recommendations on the proper channels and KPIs, based on brand-specific goals.
  • Be commercially shrewd and responsible for delivering client monthly and annual revenue targets, training the teams around you to be accountable for their revenue.
  • Work closely with the head of delivery and finance on all scoping and resourcing, helping to develop competitive pricing strategies for the market.
  • Being genuinely committed to DE&I of all kinds, shaping the London office to be truly representative both in its workforce but also through the work we deliver for our clients.
  • Taking the driving seat and pushing the work forward, with a relentless focus on the details.

We treasure Personality and Experience and the right person will have: 

  • Previous experience managing a portfolio of brands 
  • Strong leadership, management and mentorship skills
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
  • Proven negotiation skills
  • TTL experience, but expert in all things social with the ability to constantly bring the latest platform thinking to the table
  • Hands-on experience and ownership of complex strategic and creative projects, requiring senior stakeholder management 
  • Ability to recognise and solve potential problems, escalate issues or conflicts and continually evaluate project effectiveness.
  • Manage overall quality of the agency output and management for the account
  • Strong communication skills and an impressive attention to detail
  • A cool, calm and collected approach to problem-solving
  • Ability to thrive and remain agile in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Strong self-awareness and people-management skills
