Are you up for it?As Business Lead / Chief of Staff to the CFO, based in Munich, your role is to work directly with the CFO and support her in her role, from running daily operations, to taking ownership of special projects, and serving as a trusted strategic partner. Like the CFO, you will closely and directly collaborate with our Finance, Legal and Strategy teams (“FLS”), to fuel our engines to be the co-pilot to Personio on its speedy growth journey!Additionally, you will play an integral role within Personio's Business Management circle, collaborating with fellow business leads from other departments to champion cross-departmental initiatives on behalf of the Executive team. 

Role Responsibilities: What you'll do

In more detail, your responsibilities will include:

Daily operations:

  • Prepare and coordinate the CFO’s internal communications (Allhands meetings, department updates) and external interviews/presentations
  • Support in preparation for board meetings and investor communications
  • Coordinate and run weekly FLS senior leadership meetings, ensure information within the leadership team flows effectively
  • Team up with our People partner to support delivery of key HR processes, for example onboarding, feedback cycles, engagement surveys and people OKRs
  • Close collaboration with the CFO’s EA to ensure the CFO’s schedule is well-organized, appointments are prioritized, meetings are efficiently coordinated/prepared and followed up upon

Operating rhythm:

  • Lead the preparation of the half-yearly FLS strategy onsite, support in the moderation of the discussions, consolidate outcomes and drive follow-ups with associated teams 
  • Coordinate the half-yearly OKR process for FLS, in close collaboration with the Strategy team and other Department Business Leads and orchestrate the monthly department-wide check-ins
  • Support in defining and executing the FLS department strategy forward on its journey of scaling and ongoing professionalization

Project work:

  • Run (financial) analysis or projects either independently or in collaboration with other teams, subject to evolving business needs
  • Support Finance Leadership team members with delivery of strategy and related deliverables, including joining up dots across respective deliverables
  • As part of the Personio-wide Business Management circle, work on cross-departmental initiatives

Role Requirements: What you need to succeed

  • 5+ years of experience in fast-paced and finance-heavy environments like investment banking, financial advisory, management consulting, and chief-of-staff type roles in a scaling tech company
  • Outstanding knowledge of “all things finance” (financial statements, funding, valuation, financial analysis & modeling), supported by high proficiency in GSheets/Excel, Reporting/ Planning software, Tableau, and GSlides/Powerpoint
  • Ability to understand and effectively break down and solve complex problems, then presenting/”storytelling” recommendations in an effective way 
  • High level of business acumen, sound business judgment and integrity
  • Team player that enjoys building relationships across a scaling organization
  • Highly proactive “roll up sleeves where needed” working mode, self-organized and experienced in managing multiple tasks under timelines in a fast paced environment 
  • Fluent in English
