The Chief Business Officer organization plays a pivotal role in driving the company’s growth and expansion efforts worldwide. Our teammates work on commercializing Airbnb’s new and existing businesses, helping Airbnb expand beyond its core offering as a place to stay. This includes recruiting and developing Airbnb’s global supply of high-quality stays, Experiences, and services, and executing Airbnb’s global in market strategy. With this focus on business strategy, quality supply and international expansion, the team is leading the way for Airbnb’s continued growth and facilitation of millions more host and guest connections.
The Difference You will Make:
As a Business Operations Associate, you will work within the Business Operations team supporting the growth of Airbnb in Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean. The Business Operations Associate will be responsible for conducting data analysis, market research, and putting together memos and presentations to support strategic decision making by creating such insights. S/he will have the possibility to learn and assume the responsibility of providing fundamental data insights to local market teams.
Our Associate will gain a comprehensive understanding of how the different functions within the territory interact with each other, and have the opportunity to work cross functionally.
A Typical Day:
- Conduct data-driven deep-dives on everything business related - supply, demand, conversion - to provide a clear understanding of marketplace performance at different levels
- Derive key conclusions and recommendations on how to address different problems, identifying opportunities for growth and improvement
- Produce reports and other forms of intel by leveraging external data sources to have a better understanding on both the market (size, growth, trends…) and our performance vs. the industry
- Respond to inquiries from internal stakeholders by providing high quality ad hoc data analysis and insights
- Work seamlessly with other teams on projects that require their support
- Act as a key contributor to the success of the team
- Contribute to key projects in the Territory supporting the Business Operations Lead and Country Manager
Your Expertise:
- 2+ years experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, or a related field
- Candidates must be based in Mexico City. (This role is not eligible for relocation support.)
- Skilled user of Excel, Tableau, and Superset
- Proficient with SQL, large databases and raw data
- Strong spoken and written Spanish and English language skills
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Pays attention to both details and macro-level outcomes
- Ability to work proactively and results-driven: always trying to learn that extra detail that can help make the most accurate decisions

Our job titles may span more than one career level. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range shown below is monthly, is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for bonus, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.
