The role

As a Business Strategy Associate, you'll help us tackle our biggest business challenges. You'll use your strategic financial analysis skills to shape our growth strategy and hit our financial targets. This means you'll get to work with all our teams and functions, executing projects, building frameworks, and supporting high-impact initiatives. We're looking for someone with top-notch personal and communication skills who can build relationships with senior stakeholders and teams to achieve our goals, all while keeping everyone accountable.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a problem solver and strategic thinker to gain valuable experience in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. You'll be supporting all our teams and acting as an internal strategy consultant. We need your critical thinking skills to conduct both quantitative and qualitative analysis, driving our commercial business decisions and leading key projects. You'll play a crucial role in identifying opportunities to improve our operating model and designing practical solutions to overcome challenges.

You'll be part of our Business Strategy team, reporting directly to the Head of Business Strategy and closely supporting the Leadership Team. You'll collaborate with local functional teams (commercial, operations, marketing, etc.) as well as our Central and Product teams.

What you'll be doing:

You will look after various projects and initiatives for the Singapore market and challenge the way we do things, driving innovation forward.

  • Strategizing different aspects of our business plan, both on a quarterly and annual basis
  • Run campaign management end-to-end, working closely with cross-functional stakeholders from planning till execution
  • Assisting the F&S team with quarterly and annual reforecasting/budgeting, as well as continuous KPI tracking
  • Monitoring performance and preparing comprehensive analytical reports for management review
  • Conducting qualitative and quantitative analysis to develop effective strategies and guide investment decisions
  • Supporting end-to-end projects, from design to implementation, to ensure long-term success
  • Collaborating on cross-functional projects and initiatives with key stakeholders from diverse teams
  • Understanding and influencing the factors that drive our performance, aiming to enhance both our top and bottom line
  • Cultivating strong relationships with key stakeholders in Singapore and our headquarters

What you’ll need:

  • 3 years of relevant work experience
  • Exceptional analytical and numerical skills
  • Proficiency in advanced Excel and PowerPoint (bonus points if you are familiar with SQL!)
  • The ability to thrive under tight deadlines
  • Outstanding interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
  • Experience managing complex projects involving multiple senior stakeholders
  • The ability to proactively identify and solve complex problems with minimal guidance

Why Deliveroo?

Our mission is to be the definitive food company. We are transforming the way the world eats by making food more convenient and accessible. We give people the opportunity to eat what they want, when and where they want it.

We are a technology-driven company at the forefront of the most rapidly expanding industry in the world. We are still a small team, making a very large impact, seeking to answer some of the most interesting questions out there. We move fast, value autonomy and ownership, and we are always looking for new ideas.

Benefits & Diversity

At Deliveroo we know that people are the heart of the business and we prioritise their welfare. We offer a wide range of benefits in areas including health, family, finance, community, convenience, growth, time away and relocation.

We believe a great workplace is one that represents the world we live in and how beautifully diverse it can be. That means we have no judgement when it comes to any one of the things that make you who you are - your gender, race, sexuality, religion or a secret aversion to coriander. All you need is a passion for (most) food and a desire to be part of one of the fastest growing startups in an incredibly exciting space.
