Product Manager, Billing & Collections

 

Working as part of a Product oriented delivery team focused on Billing & Collections, this role is accountable for supporting and optimizing billing and collections systems, ensuring efficient operations, and aligning processes that positively impact customers and meet requirements for financial policies and compliances. Toast customers rely on our operations every day to serve their customers and this role will have a direct impact on their ability to be successful.

About this roll* (Responsibilities)  

  • Drive end to end requirement gathering, functional AS IS vs TO BE process flows, alignment across multiple stakeholders and dependent teams
  • Translates business concepts and requirements into software solutions and roadmaps, ensuring accurate documentation and alignment with stakeholders.
  • Collaborates with technical and non-technical teams to define, design, test and implement specific functional requirements of the system, as specified by the Product leaders and technology stakeholders (e.g., Systems Architects, Engineers).
  • Lead and drive Business User Testing and coordination activities, review QA test scenarios
  • Highly focussed on BRD, OKRs, PRDs and managing the appropriate project and process documentation, representing dependencies in cross-functional forums. Prepare summary release notes that outline the functional and technical changes introduced by your product team as part of the ongoing release cadence. 
  • Identify, design, and implement platform configurations in the application stack, ensuring changes are successful at meeting the needs of the defined business requirements.
  • Work with application teams to develop manual/automated test plans to validate the functionality implemented throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Supports the root cause analysis and remediation process to resolve defects and/or issues reported by product/application teams and stakeholders.
  • Identify and capture improvement opportunities (both functional and non-functional) to improve product quality and performance based on input provided by technology team members 
  • Coordinates with business leads on deliverables for training and adoption and business readiness for feature go live.

 

 

Do you have the right ingredients*? (Requirements)

Minimum 5 years of professional Product Management/Business Analyst/System Analyst experience, or focus in system implementation and transformationBachelors’ degree in computer science, engineering,  or Finance related field

  • Masters in Business Administration or related field

Mastery of systems analysis, including root cause analysis and other process modeling and systems design methodologies Experience with systems like Zuora Billing, NetSuite, and Salesforce systems. Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Excellent understanding of Order to Cash (O2C), Billing, or other Finance operations Proficient in SQL tools and cloud product management tools (Jira, Confluence, LucidCharts, Miro)Ability to multi-task and perform effectively in a fast-paced environmentAble to think independently and consider cross-functional, upstream, and downstream impacts

  • Excellent understanding of Product Life Cycle Methodologies, particularly in Agile Scrum

  • Experience with Integration tools or iPaas Solutions
  • Great End to End solution is a big plus
  • Experience with SQL
  • Administrative experience with Salesforce, NetSuite, Zuora Billing/RevPro, Stripe
