About the role

As a Business Systems Engineer at Applied Intuition, you will be the lead architect of our corporate data ecosystem. We are looking for a highly technical, senior-level engineer to bridge the gap between our core business functions and the software that powers them. In this role, you will be responsible for architecting a seamless data ecosystem that connects back-end finance and HR systems to provide a unified, real-time view of our global operations, enabling data-driven strategic decisions at the highest levels. You will ensure that our systems—including Oracle NetSuite, Workday, and Pigment—are unified into a robust, scalable architecture that supports rapid global growth.

At Applied Intuition, you will:
  • Architect & Integrate: Design, build, and maintain mission-critical integrations between core enterprise systems, including Oracle NetSuite (ERP), Workday (HRIS), and Pigment (FP&A)
  • Build Scalable Pipelines: Develop and manage data pipelines and API-led architectures to ensure data integrity and real-time synchronization across the business stack
  • Strategic Automation: Partner closely with Finance and People Operations to automate complex workflows and eliminate manual data entry, reducing operational risk
  • Tooling Leadership: Lead the selection, implementation, and management of iPaaS tools (e.g., Workato, Tray.io, MuleSoft) to standardize how we connect global SaaS applications
  • Standardize Data: Define and document enterprise data standards and integration protocols to ensure a consistent source of truth for all business-critical KPIs
  • Optimize Performance: Proactively identify and resolve complex system bottlenecks, ensuring that our finance teams can generate accurate reports and forecasts with zero downtime
  • Mentor & Lead: Serve as the subject matter expert for enterprise architecture, mentoring junior IT and systems staff on scalability and best practices
We're looking for someone who has:
  • 7+ years of experience in business systems engineering, enterprise architecture, or a related integration-heavy role in a fast-paced environment
  • Deep technical expertise withOracle NetSuite and Workday APIs, including experience managing complex data migrations or system overhauls
  • Hands-on experience with multi-dimensional planning tools like Pigment, Anaplan, or Adaptive Insights
  • Proficiency in at least one major iPaaS platform (e.g., Workato, Tray.io, Boomi) and advanced scripting skills (e.g., Python, JavaScript, or SQL) for custom integration logic
  • Strong understanding of financial concepts (e.g., GL, procure-to-pay, order-to-cash) and HR lifecycles
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to design architectures that balance long-term scalability with immediate business needs
Nice to have:
  • Experience in a high-growth startup environment preparing for public company readiness (SOX compliance)
  • Familiarity with Salesforce (CRM) integrations and the broader lead-to-revenue ecosystem
  • Advanced certifications in NetSuite (SuiteCloud Developer) or Workday (Integration Consultant)
  • Experience with data warehousing and BI tools (e.g., Snowflake, Tableau, or Looker)
