The role

As a buyer you’ll be responsible for supply strategy and planning for NZ, to ensure ingredient availability at most optimum supply chain setup i.e. in a timely and efficient manner, while also minimising costs and mitigating risk. 

This role requires a high level of collaboration with multiple stakeholders, from our Suppliers, to our Procurement, Production, Menu Planning, Warehouse and Logistics teams.

Please note, this is a 12 month FT Contract. 

You will…

  • Be responsible for supply planning across your category, ensuring that ingredients are available on-time and in-full from our suppliers
  • Own market supply strategy and target inventory level for your categories
  • Understand latest forecast updates, with key implications for our ingredients and packaging materials availability
  • Be responsible for understanding and mitigating waste and customer errors
  • Plan new requirements based on the latest SKU forecasts  vs. Total Inventory
  • Plan Delivery Schedule, adjust Delivery Settings and Maintain Suppliers' Split across all Suppliers to one distribution centre
  • Reduce our inventory through systematic approach and structural interventions
  • Proactively eliminate supply risks, root cause issues and work on mitigation plans
  • Ensure target suppliers’ split and allocation is maintained as per contracted terms
  • Investigate incidents reported and ensure systematic issue resolution

You have…

  • 3+ years of experience in one of the areas like supply chain planning, inventory planning, in-stock management, or procurement
  • Demonstrated ability to investigate, root cause and action plan inefficiencies in processes and systems
  • Demonstrated ability define and monitor process adherence metrics
  • Strong and proven experience in multiple stakeholders management, with conflicting priorities
  • The ability to craft long-term internal and external business relationships, manage change and provide strategic leadership is essential
  • Experience in working with Microsoft Office programs & G-Suite

Start Date: Immediately available - Can wait a notice period

Duration: Contract - 12 months. You must have the right to work full-time in New Zealand.
