Role Summary
Payoneer is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Senior Card Transactions Monitoring Analyst to join our Fraud & Compliance Operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring debit card transactions (physical and virtual) to detect fraud, assess AML risks, and support internal investigations. This role sits within the second line of defense, offering both strategic oversight and operational depth.
You’ll work with cross-functional stakeholders to manage alerts, analyze fraud patterns, and ensure compliance with regulatory expectations in a global environment. If you're experienced in compliance, have a sharp investigative mindset, and enjoy a highly operational role this one’s for you.
What you'll do
- Monitor and analyze debit card transactions (virtual and physical) to detect suspicious or fraudulent activity.
- Investigate fraud alerts and reports (e.g., chargebacks, card misuse, customer claims).
- Conduct enhanced due diligence (EDD) on customers requesting card limit increases.
- Evaluate alert flags generated and decide on further actions.
- Support AML-related investigations tied to card activity.
- Operate and optimize the platform for transaction monitoring.
- Contribute to fraud detection mechanism improvements through data analysis and operational feedback.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory frameworks.
- Collaborate with global teams to monitor both individual and corporate customer transactions.
- Prepare reports and summaries of cases, trends, and escalations.
Who you are
- 5+ years of experience in Compliance, Fraud, or Legal functions within financial services.
- Strong understanding of card fraud schemes and AML risks associated with card transactions.
- Familiarity with transaction monitoring systems.
- SQL knowledge (queries and interpretation) is a strong plus.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; detail-oriented.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English (additional languages are a plus).
