About the role

The Category Manager will support all of Crunchyroll’s lines of business, including SaaS, IT, Compute, Consulting, Contingent Labor, and Managed Services. In this newly created role, you will lead contract negotiations, manage contractual obligations, and contribute to financial reporting and forecasting efforts.

  • Lead Sourcing Projects: Oversee important sourcing projects such as contract renewals, commercial negotiations, and RFP/RFI events. Conduct commercial analysis for high-value or critical spend categories.
  • Negotiation Strategy: Develop and implement negotiation strategies in collaboration with partners. Guide structured, clear, negotiations that align with our goals.
  • Identify Savings Opportunities: Research opportunities for cost savings and avoidance across five lines of business.
  • Contract Management: Lead the engagement with legal teams for contract submission, redlining support, commercial negotiations, and contract execution.
  • Partner Collaboration: Build relationships with key partners to ensure alignment between their goals, company initiatives, and sourcing policies.

The Strategic Sourcing Manager will report to the Director, Strategic Sourcing.

This is a hybrid position. Employees are expected to work from the office 2 set days a week. We are considering candidates in Culver City.

About You
  • 5+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, contract management, procurement, within the media or technology industry.
  • Experience in eCommerce, Localization, Professional Services, and/or Marketing spend categories. 
  • Demonstrated expertise leading complex vendor negotiations.
  • Experience managing high-value contracts and complex spend categories.
  • Familiarity with financial reporting, forecasting, and cost-saving strategies.

The Pay Range for this position is listed. Actual pay will vary based on factors including, but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Crunchyroll’s Total Rewards offerings for employees.
