Category Specialist
Our OpportunityChewy is hiring a Category Specialists that will support our Category Management team based in Plantation, FL! As the Category Specialists you will support specific category and finance activities such as managing vendor tickets to resolution, setting up and performing promotions, adding new vendors, billing reconciliation, adding new SKU's, and new assortments to Chewy's onboarding. The Category Specialist will often be the first point of contact for our vendors so it will be critical to deliver high-quality, thoughtful service to our valued partners. This role is uniquely positioned to directly craft our vendor and customer experiences, ultimately contributing to the Chewy brand.
A successful candidate will implement and deliver priorities in an organized fashion and according to service level agreements (SLAs). You will consistently deliver routine tasks that support broader category strategies and maintain vendor relationships through meaningful interactions. You will exercise your strong interpersonal skills, detailed attention, and the ability to absorb information and experiences quickly. Working well with both internal and external partners, you will thrive in our ambitious but flexible environment where approach-focused ideas and a customer-focused demeanor are highly valued. What You'll Do
- Regularly evaluate and communicate expected promotional funding to partners
- Ensure alignment between actual and expected promotional funding by proactively identifying and resolving discrepancies
- Resolve vendor tickets on a daily/weekly basis in line with our SLAs
- Set up and implement promotions as per category manager direction
- Collaborate cross-functionally with category managers, accounts receivable, finance, promotions, and program teams
- Maintain strict adherence to company policies and procedures, ensuring compliance and efficiency
What You'll Need
- Completion of a BS/BA degree desired
- 1+ years of experience with a preference in e-commerce, buying, account management, product management, category management, operations, analytics, finance or marketing
- Good analytical abilities and problem-solving skills (Excel, SQL is a plus)
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Self-starter with a bias for action, attention to detail, solid time, data and organizational management skills
