We are currently seeking a Chief Capital Officer to join our dynamic team and to lead and build our new BC Capital Markets Unit. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in institutional funding, with substantial experience at a fintech / non-bank lender.

THE ROLE
Key responsibilities include:
- Team Management: Design Target Operating Model for BC Capital Markets Unit, hire, onboard and lead the new team.
- Funding Strategy: Work closely with Blenheim Chalcot's portfolio companies to identify opportunities for reducing funding costs, including negotiating more favourable terms and conditions with lenders and exploring alternative funding sources.
- Forward Flow Execution: Source and secure new forward flow funding lines to support the growth of selected portfolio companies including developing relationships with potential investors, preparing investment proposals and managing due diligence and execution processes.
- Balance Sheet Optimisation: Develop and implement strategies to optimise the balance sheets of our various lending ventures including existing facility optimisation and capital structure.
- Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including shareholders, portfolio company CEO/CFOs, banks and investors.

- You will have a demonstrable track record of overseeing both accounting and financial planning & analysis functions.
Technical experience
- Experience working in capital markets setting up and executing on new funding arrangements and optimising funding facilities for non-bank lenders
- You will have proven success serving as a true business partner to executive teams within a high-growth company
- You will have experience identifying business opportunities, analysing the competitive landscape, and developing financial models that are consistent with the company’s overall strategy.
- You will possess the business acumen and broad financial perspective to act as a strategic sounding board to the Senior Management Team.
