Location: Remote-first across Europe (HQ Berlin), presence in Berlin approx. every 6 weeks

We are seeking a Chief Operating Officer (m/f/d) to join our C-Level. Your mission is to elevate our operational maturity and uphold our exceptional internal communication culture. This is a decisive role for an organizational builder who will ensure bookingkit remains a well-organized, data-driven, and process-scaled organization.

Your Day-to-Day

Your core mission is to scale by process, not by people—making bookingkit an operations and growth powerhouse that runs on clarity, automation, and ownership.

Operational Excellence, Automation and Strategic Steering

• Maintain and continuously improve company-wide operational stability and process quality.

• Simplify business operations to allow for scalability at minimum complexity.

* Lead automation and AI enablement, driving their adoption across all departments and fostering an "AI-first" mindset.

• Own and evolve the annual OKR and strategy process.

• Translate strategy into measurable goals, ensuring accountability through transparent tracking and data-driven management.

Leadership & People

• Lead the People team (Head of People & Culture reportsdirectly to you).

• Nurture an environment of ownership, trust, and empowerment.

• Nurture and gradually develop company culture, values, and internal communication in a remote-work setup.

• Strengthen leadership capabilities across departments and support talent growth.

Finance & Compliance

• Oversee Finance, Controlling, and Compliance (Head of Finance & Compliance reports directly to you).

• Drive automation and reporting quality across financial systems.

We are a Good Match if you have:

• Operational Leadership: Strong operational leadership background, ideally 5+ years experience in high-growth SaaS or tech environments.

• Functional Expertise: Experience leading Finance and People functions.

• Process & Tech: Proven ability to drive operational automation and process improvement , with IT and automation affinity essential.

• AI Experience: Hands-on AI tooling experience.

• Organizational Skills: Excellent project management and organizational design skills.

• Mindset: A hands-on, pragmatic mindset with the ability to zoom out strategically.

• Communication: Strong communication and collaboration skills; able to influence across teams without authority.

• Language: Fluent in English.

• Experience Level: Startup experience (preferably scale-up stage).

Nice-to-Haves:

• Experience or readiness for M&A integration a bonus.

• German language skills are a plus.
