As an AKQA Client Director in the Business team you’ll transform our clients’ businesses by creating new opportunities for their brands across their digital ecosystems. More than just a manager or consultant, you will foster partnerships with clients to deliver measurable impact. Your deep understanding of their challenges and opportunities will enable you to drive their digital transformation and business results.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

  • In-depth knowledge of client businesses and market challenges faced. Demonstrates AKQA strategic thinking, e.g. able to formulate strategic propositions into client-ready decks. Ensures AKQA sells relevant solutions that meet client business objectives.
  • Effective ongoing management of Strategic Services’ involvement on the account.
  • Revenue responsibility: £1m-2m. Meets and exceeds account profitability and DSO targets.
  • Responsible for all aspects of the monthly financial process of account, e.g. accurate forecasting to within 10%, revenue recognition and billing. Proven ability to reduce the number of unbilled hours on account.
  • Successfully manages multiple suppliers, partners and clients to ensure best outcome for both client and AKQA.
  • Keeps stakeholders informed of project progress at all times and manages expectations proactively.
  • Identifies, pursues and converts additional opportunities for AKQA.
  • Leverages client relationships for introductions to additional business units and brands.
  • Ensures client organisation charts and contact lists are kept fully up to date. Able to convince clients of the value of annual planning sessions. Ensures visibility of all major client initiatives over 12 months.
  • Provides a viewpoint on team resource and configuration. Sets out detailed month-by-month forecasts against which resource can be planned.

 

 

QUALITIES AND EXPERIENCE

  • Able to identify opportunities to enhance your clients’ businesses and autonomously grow relationships.
  • Successful track record of building exceptional client relationships; necessary capability, presence and professionalism to inspire confidence and credibility with clients and colleagues.
  • Strong understanding of the digital landscape, customer experience perspective and transformation
  • Able to effectively drive new business opportunities, from identification through to conversion, including presenting autonomously at senior levels.
  • Extensive account management experience in digital, strategy or business consulting.
  • Thorough knowledge of digital and online marketing communications (technology experience is a plus)
  • Successful track record of building exceptional client relationships; necessary capability, presence and professionalism to inspire confidence and credibility with clients and colleagues.
  • Strong problem-solving skills; able to demonstrate how you’ve made a measurable difference to an organisation, project or team.
  • Experience of managing integrated global/regional campaigns that involve multiple external and internal stakeholders.
  • A positive, proactive and collaborative attitude and passion for innovative work that is both ground-breaking and change-making.
