The Team & Role

The Client Engineering team is located in Chennai, India and is a part of the broader Corporate Operations IT Team. The team is responsible for the active management of all laptop clients used at Zuora, making sure our the clients provide an experience to all of our employees enabling them to be productive in a secure and efficient way. We are looking for creative, engaging team members to build out solutions that are seamless to our employee community.

As an IT Client Engineer you have a deep knowledge of modern end user computing solutions and capabilities - including virtual and mobile technologies. The ideal candidate will help maintain and enhance existing services on MacOS and Windows machines along with AWS deployment capabilities. You will help with implementation of new technologies that secure our end user computing experience while maintaining our users productivity. You will also be empowered to own and deliver on these technologies.

This position is based in Chennai, India. The expectation is that you will be in the office a minimum of three days a week while occasionally getting together with your team for office visits, events, or offsites. Of course, you’re welcome to come into the office more often if you’re nearby. 

Our Tech Stack: MacOS, Windows, Kandji, Kaseya, Bomgar, Okta, AD, AWS, Google Workspace, Slack 

What you’ll do

  • Implement and support moderately complex and modern end user computing solutions
  • Promote end user technology standards for hardware, OS, core applications and peripherals
  • Evaluate, implement, integrate and maintain end user technology applications used to manage laptops, virtual desktops, virtual applications and eventually mobile devices
  • Enable, configure and maintain MacOS and Windows patching and software updates, keeping all machines on the latest versions of software at all times
  • Serve as the highest level technical resources for technologies spanning the enterprise
  • Lead complex troubleshooting efforts and root cause analysis when required
  • Proatively automate, streamline and simplify engineering processes and routine tasks
  • Create and update system documentation for technical and support teams
  • Operate independently
  • Participate in on-call rotations when required
  • Leverage your excellent organization skills and attention to detail to deliver high quality projects on time

Your experience

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of experience or combination of education and/or experience
  • Advanced experience in implementing, configuring, and supporting cutting edge technologies
  • Advanced knowledge of MacOS and WindowOS, and deploying solutions on these operating systems to maintain client integrity 
  • Advanced knowledge of client management solutions, especially Kandji for Macs and Kaseya for Windows
  • Knowledge of AWS, including EC2 and S3 buckets

Nice to haves:

  • Knowledge of MDM solutions, especially the Google MDM solution
