The Control Plane IAM team owns everything related to authentication and authorization in the Elastic Cloud offering. Our globally distributed team is highly skilled and has deep experience in the security area, there is plenty of room to be a mentor, to be mentored, to lead new features, and to advance both technically and professionally in this challenging and ever-evolving space.
Given the critical nature of our work, the team's core tenets are correctness, maintainability, stability, and supportability. As the layer that verifies user identities and ensures that answers to what users can do are correct, we place the highest value on accuracy to ensure no privilege escalation. The services we manage need to be stable and reliable. We take time to test functionality, scale, and behavior during failure.
