The Cloud Technical Account Management team provides vital access to our Cloud Engineering team for both internal and external stakeholders. By smoothing over issues for our edge-case customers, we allow the Engineering team to move quickly for the vast majority of them. By being a source of information for our Support and Sales teams, we can keep coders coding. And by being a source of technical knowledge for our customers, we can help ensure their success.Cloud Technical Account Managers are a key part of our elite Cloud Engineering organization that supports MongoDB customers worldwide, with teams in locations including New York and Dublin.

Responsibilities

A Cloud Technical Account Manager plays a unique role in helping our customers succeed. The responsibilities are varied and evolve along with the product, including:

  • Translate technical concepts into generalist’s terms for our customers
  • Troubleshoot technical issues with our Cloud products
  • Collaborate with MongoDB Product Management and development teams
  • Play a key role in our internal business-critical process (eg, dunning, account deletion, etc.)
  • Help find creative solutions to problems by overcoming gaps in the product
  • Work closely with the Core Engineering team to alleviate common customer pain-points and improve our tools to optimize workflows
  • Reach out to customers when we detect issues and work with them to correct them
  • Be an expert on billing and account configuration
What We’re Looking For

We consider all candidates with an eye for those who are self taught, curious, and multi-faceted. You’ll need excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be knowledgeable about a wide range of web and internet technologies. You should also have:

  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others
  • The ability to think on your feet and rapidly learn a wide variety of new technologies and skills
  • A B.A. / B.S. or equivalent work experience; if you don’t have a Computer Science degree, but think you can do the job, apply anyway!
  • Basic familiarity with Amazon Web Service or other cloud infrastructure platforms

You’ll get bonus points for foreign language skills, a MongoDB Certification, or previous support experience.
