Commercial Transformation Manager

Location: San Francisco, California (Hybrid)

Databricks is looking for a top tier Commercialization Transformations Manager with a passion for system development & process improvement. Collaborating across teams and locations on assigned projects will be necessary in this role. You will focus on managing end-to-end transformation projects encompassing new product introductions, lifecycle changes, commercial and partner programs. You will be hands-on in the execution of large scale projects as well as think strategically about how to drive efficient operations. This role will report into the commercial transformation team, which is part of the COO org. You will optimize the commercialization process and deliver technological improvements including scaling the interaction between different systems. You will need to be extremely data oriented and drive the north star vision and roadmap for multiple internal teams. 

The impact you will have:

  • Deliver large scale commercial transformation, supporting the growth of company revenue in an efficient manner 
  • Build repeatable commercialization processes/systems that can scale as the business grows yet allows for experimentation. 
  • Increase customer adoption of new products by making it simple and scalable to purchase and contract with Databricks
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and senior leadership on roadmap and track leading indicators on programs  
  • Understand the current system set up and help define better integrations to scale commercialization processes. 
  • Develop and scale partner focussed commercial processes and systems 

What we’re looking for: 

  • Bachelors Degree 
  • 8+ years of experience in product management,  program management and systems design 
  • Deep understanding of commercialization in enterprise software/SaaS/Data companies
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Phenomenal analytical skills (need to be able to use Databricks product to set up reporting and tracking mechanism)
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams to deliver complex, interdependent projects
  • Experience defining projects, identifying risks, managing cost, coordinating scope, identifying dependencies, scheduling and deploying new products and features
  • Experience creating and cascading processes through an organization
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • A team player, adept at building relationships across the organization
  • Ability to adhere to deadlines across multiple projects in a fast paced environment without losing sight of accuracy

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's or advanced technical degree
  • Knowledge of product development process (PDP) and lifecycle
  • Experience with large scale software and cloud native infrastructure
  • Previous hardware or software development experience is a plus
  • Proven track record of thriving in a fast paced environment 
  • Previous experience working with partners on commercial programs is a plus
