We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Communications Manager to join our team on a part-time contract basis, specializing in crafting and refining internal communications content. This role is instrumental in ensuring that our internal messaging is clear, engaging, and aligned with our organizational goals. This role reports to the Director of Communications, Employee Experience, and Engagement.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and edit a variety of compelling internal communications content, including emails, Slack messages, intranet updates, and presentation decks/talking points
  • Ensure employees are well informed of relevant internal news, events, and initiatives
  • Tailor content for different communication channels, optimizing messaging for maximum impact
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to translate complex information into easily understandable and engaging content
  • Provide dedicated communication support for specific projects, ensuring consistent and effective messaging throughout the project lifecycle
  • Ensure consistency in messaging across all internal communication channels, and that communications are in line with Liftoff’s voice, culture, and values

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in content development, editing, and internal communications
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, with a keen eye for detail
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, managing multiple priorities effectively
  • Strategic thinking abilities
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Strong customer focus and employee experience mindset​
  • Ability to act with discretion and always maintain confidentiality

This is a part-time hourly Contract position. Preferred location for this position is in the Pacific Time Zone.
