The Community You Will Join: 

The Airbnb Communications team delivers campaigns that keep Airbnb front of mind, helping to stimulate word-of-mouth and supporting direct traffic to the site. We’re seeking a creative, organized, passionate and versatile team contributor to support a global Communications team that is developing compelling year-round campaigns to insert Airbnb into a wide range of conversations. 

The Difference You Will Make:

This role will report into the Director of Strategy, Operations and Measurement with an emphasis on business operations. In particular, as Airbnb expands into more markets across the world, the role will be responsible for building critical frameworks, processes, and assets to guide and support how the Communications team scales our work internationally. As part of a lean and empowered Operations team, this role will also diagnose and operationalize opportunities to continue improving the overall strategic rigor, operational efficiency, and business impact of Airbnb’s world-class communications team.

The role will partner closely with Communications leadership, along with Marketing, Policy, Finance, Analytics, Creative, Geos, and other key cross-functional partners given the collaborative culture of Airbnb.

A Typical Day: 

  • Serve as key operating partner for the Director Strategy, Operations and Measurement on business operations for the global Communications team, e.g., budget planning, mapping key moments for workshops and market visits, leading ongoing rhythm of business
  • Design, build, and/or optimize critical frameworks, processes, and assets for our global efforts. Examples may include: 
    • Optimizing the design, management, and reporting of our increasingly global and multifaceted budget to enable clear regional or market-specific views
    • Developing the prioritization approach and ROI framework for global communications initiatives  
    • Developing the workload and process flow to ensure projects and initiatives are on time, scaled, and resources appropriately
    • Drive annual planning process as a key element of central planning and budgeting.

Your Expertise:

  • 10+ years of experience in global communications/marketing operations, strategy & operations, and/or management consulting (or the equivalent). 
  • Experience working with a global organization across disciplines (Finance, Strategy, Consumer and Product, Creative, Production, etc.) and with a range of non-US local teams
  • Analytical, structured thinker with strong business acumen. Experience partnering with Finance (FP&A, Strategic Finance) and Analytics/Data Science
  • Experience establishing systems and developing processes in a dynamically scaling environment. Ability to take a vague problem, crisply frame the challenge, identify a path forward, and drive an initiative over the finish-line
  • Passion for cross-functional collaboration
  • Ability to own the work in a hands-on way and be in the details
  • Ability to effectively communicate and influence decisions at all levels

Your Location:

This position is US - Remote Eligible. The role may include occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites, as agreed to with your manager. Our job titles may span more than one career level. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.  

Pay Range$160,000—$200,000 USD
