About the roleWe are looking for a Communications Senior Manager for LATAM to establish Crunchyroll as the definitive brand for anime in the region. This role is essential for our fast-growing market and will have an immediate impact on our business. Reporting to the Senior Director of Marketing, LATAM, and collaborating closely with our Vice President of Communications, you will lead communications strategy, manage media relationships, and drive brand visibility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage Communications and media/publisher relationship management.
- Build a communications strategy that helps to position Crunchyroll as a definitive brand for anime in the region in collaboration with the global corporate communications team.
- Help deliver best-in-class marketing with a meaningful and impactful contribution through earned media leveraging talent usage, media innovations and story-telling (ensuring the strongest earned media online and offline brand presence across online platforms).
- Increase our brand equity and visibility, create desired perception about the platform amongst the fans, adjacent fans and licensors.
- Analyze media coverage and make data-backed recommendations on improving SOV and regularly exceeding share of voice metrics and Impressions targets.
- Cultivate and maintain meaningful relationships with trade publications, industry bodies for media and advertising, award shows and celebrity professionals from both national and regional publications offline and online.
- Organize and manage promotional events such as media junkets, press conferences, interaction days, talent utilization and screening events
- Optimize the relationship, deliverables and performance of the PR agency partner and any other PR and publicity stakeholders
- Work with an array of Crunchyroll’s best-in-class Communications team, with stellar collaboration, creativity and ability to problem solve.
- Work with senior leaders on crisis communications situations in the region.
- Report media placement success on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis.

About You-
10+ years of experience in PR/Communication with broadcast/streaming media, entertainment, or new-age gaming/tech companies.

You have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with bilingual fluency in Spanish and English. Proficiency in Brazilian Portuguese is a plus.

You can craft compelling stories, highlighting the success of Crunchyroll and anime.

You are experienced in using data and facts to build PR narratives and seize marketing opportunities.

You have experience managing agencies across the LATAM region, including Brazil.

You can handle multiple priorities, lines of business, and time zones.

You have experience working with talent and executives, coaching them to be excellent spokespersons and public stewards of the brand.

You have impeccable attention to detail.

You are experienced in communicating with diverse audiences.

You have experience managing regional budgets.

You have established relationships with media houses, journalists, and key opinion leaders.

Master’s or Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Mass Media communications or similar.
