The Workplace Project Manager will be a part of managing Okta’s global real estate projects. The primary responsibility of this role is to oversee the planning & execution of office improvement projects on time, on budget, and to scope. In addition, this role will support the development of  process improvement initiatives that help drive efficiency, productivity and/or collaboration across the Workplace team. We love problem solvers with an aptitude and desire to work in a fast paced environment and ability to manage multiple projects globally.   As a project manager, attention to detail, flexibility of thought, a focus on communication, and strong organizational skills will be keys to being successful. 

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be an integral part in building relationships with key stakeholders, understanding their requirements and designing and building out innovative spaces that meet Okta’s needs. 

  • Support office expansion, consolidation and refresh projects for Okta’s global offices
    • Attend site tours and provide due diligence assessments to support site selection process
    • Review and assess work-letter and construction documents in lease agreements
    • Provide planning, budgeting, vendor selection, programming, design and construction oversight.
    • Develop business requirements by working closely together with the local stakeholders.
    • Provide cost estimates and project schedules as needed throughout the project. 
    • RFP, select and manage vendors for design and construction services. 
    • Communicate project status to Workplace Leadership and end-users on a regular basis.
  • Provide Workplace PMO services
    • Support update of design and programming standards for Okta office build-outs.
    • Develop process improvement initiatives that drive efficiency, productivity and/or collaboration across the Workplace team. 

 Requirements

  • College degree or equivalent experience in related area
  • 7+ years design-related and/or project management experience in faced paced growth environment
  • Experience working with global teams managing projects, overseeing and directing the work of others in locations in a service oriented environment
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced, growing environment
  • Excellent planning and decision-making ability to define and meet performance requirements
  • Strong stakeholder management across cross-functional teams
  • Strong verbal communication skills. Executive presence preferred.
  • Travel 10-20% of the time
  • Knowledge of: CAD, CAFM systems, MS Office tools, project scheduling software

Below is the annual base salary range for candidates located in California. Your actual base salary will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. In addition, Okta offers equity (where applicable), bonus, and benefits, including health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), flexible spending account, and paid leave (including PTO and parental leave) in accordance with our applicable plans and policies. The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in the San Francisco Bay area is between: $100,000—$150,000 USD
