About the team

We’re looking for an Intern to join Deliveroo’s Consumer team. The Consumer team is the part of our business that’s obsessed with our Consumers and delivers the experiences they know and love throughout our Website and Apps. In your role, you will contribute to the day-to-day running of this team, as detailed below. 

About the role

You will champion the Deliveroo Consumer, alongside understanding how everything we do affects the other sides of our marketplace (Riders, Restaurants and Grocery/Retail partners). You will act as a liaison between our Consumer-facing teams and these other orgs helping to design new products and propositions, and enhance those we have based on inputs from a wide range of stakeholders. You’ll work closely with Product, Engineering, Science, Finance and Commercial teams, as well as getting insight into how a company like Deliveroo operates. Depending on which team you’re working with you may have different objectives, ranging from improving our Value Perception with consumers, to driving Partner engagement with new features or improving conversion throughout our customer experience. You will work under a hybrid model between our head office and from home, but will be expected to come into the office 3 days a week. Please note, this is a 6 month fixed term contract. 

What you'll be doing

  • Deeply understand our consumer needs through data and consumer research and use them to drive decision-making across the organisation
  • Liaise between Consumer and other teams, championing the customer in company-wide decision-making, and bringing the perspective from other teams in to the Consumer team
  • Identify potential opportunities to improve our Consumer experience and work with the teams to build your ideas out in our products!
  • Design improvements to existing features by understanding how they work and how our consumers engage with them
  • Build out our understanding of the competitive landscape for some of our key features, both within and outside of our industry
