We’re seeking an inspired, motivated, and experienced Content Author Lead to join our team. The content Author Lead is responsible for designing templates and components, performing peer reviews, developing technical documentation, and becomes a key contributor to their team and project. A Content Author Lead acts as a technical leader in projects, ensuring that the team maintains high-performance levels and builds and strengthens client relationships. The CAL will work closely with clients, developers, system administrators, project managers, business analysts, and end users.

You will:

  • Debug or troubleshoot complex or critical issues that cannot be handled by junior positions and provides root cause analysis
  • Own content release activities, including but not limited to reviewing content changes, deploy instructions, client demos, QA hand-offs, and presenting solutions and justifications for tasks.
  • Mentor and enforce guidelines and best practices for the designated team
  • Help coordinate the team’s technical communication with other groups such as Creative, Business and Management
  • Responsible to setup regular one-on-one meetings to provide coaching, feedback, career development, and status reporting
  • Overview peer reviewing and unit testing practices
  • Gather new user and business requirements, maps them to appropriate technical solutions and estimates the associated content authoring tasks
  • In charge of presentations to clients, directly working with other groups such as Creative, Business and Technology
  • Ensures concise and clear documentation is maintained by all peers for the projects as dictated by each Capability’s guidelines and best practices
  • Creates training programs for technologies within fields of expertise
  • Actively participates in Capability activities and initiatives

 

You have:

  • English Proficiency (B2+ reading, writing, and conversation)
  • 6+ years of work experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience working with content management systems (AEM, Sitecore, TeamSite).
  • Minimum of 2 years in leadership roles or as team leader.
  • Proficiency with data transfer formats and protocols popular in web applications (e.g. JSON, XML, HTTP).
  • Experience with Front-End technologies (HTML/CSS/JavaScript).
  • Work experience implementing SEO guidelines and best practices to CMS pages.
  • Experience troubleshooting, debugging and doing root cause analysis of web platform issues.
  • Capable of designing and choosing a quality assurance process for the project including guidelines for unit tests, load testing, performance testing.
  • Knowledge of recent development patterns and practices (Mobile First, MVC, Object Oriented development).
  • Experience implementing Marketing Science guidelines.

 

You may have:

  • BS in Computer Science or related technical discipline; or equivalent experience in the web development business
  • Experience in Digital Agencies projects, Web development projects, SCRUM/Agile software projects.
  • Experience with popular JavaScript frameworks and cross-browser compatibility.
  • Work experience configuring, using, and troubleshooting tools such as process automation & scripting (e.g. Webpack or Gulp) and pre-process tools (e.g. SASS, LESS).
