This role is a remote position based in Puerto Rico but is available for hybrid in-person work schedule.

Red Ventures is seeking an experienced Content Writer to help deepen and expand our coverage of college rankings, degrees, certificates, training programs, and other educational and career pathways.

As a Writer II, you will be responsible for developing content in collaboration with an editor, applying editorial standards and SEO best practices, and writing insightful stories that highlight the value of higher education.

Our ideal candidate is an impeccable researcher who will be able to think critically and strategically, can regularly contribute ideas, and write at a fast pace on a variety of subjects. Experience evaluating and reviewing products and/or services is strongly preferred.

What You’ll Do:

• Conduct in-depth research and write consumer-facing content about a variety of subjects related to online education, degrees, courses, and other educational and career pathways
• Research, compare, and review schools and academic programs
• Conduct interviews with relevant sources and subject-matter experts
• Employ SEO best practices to ensure content is highly visible in search engines
• Uphold editorial guidelines and best practices
• Work collaboratively with editors and other writers to craft high-quality content
• Fact-check work with reputable source

What We’re Looking For:

• 2+ years of experience in a digital media, journalism, or digital marketing environment
• Ability to conduct in-depth research and write content on a quick turnaround
• Excellent critical thinking skills and strong attention to detail
• Familiarity with higher education and/or experience writing reviews on products and services is strongly preferred
• A bachelor's degree in journalism, English, creative writing, or a related field
• A portfolio of published work or writing samples
• Self-motivated with a track record of success managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines
• Familiarity with SEO best practices
• Familiarity publishing on WordPress or a similar CMS
