About the role

The Multimedia Producer will ideate, develop, support, and accomplish multimedia projects across Audience Development, including editorial content on Crunchyroll News, short- and long-form editorial video, social video, and podcasting. You will project manage and assist across all multimedia and editorial initiatives.

Core Areas of Responsibility
  • Develop and maintain a pipeline of multimedia content in collaboration with the Global Social Media team
  • Support and manage logistics for ongoing audio and video projects, including podcasting
  • Liaise between Crunchyroll and internal/external content development and production teams 
  • Coordinate opportunities with our global freelance network to script videos based on Crunchyroll News editorial content (news and features)
    • Develop and operationalize process for short-form video creation based on news efforts
    • Develop and operationalize processes for building video projects from Crunchyroll News’ award-winning features team
  • Manage cross-team content calendar for Audience Development multimedia initiatives 
  • Develop ongoing multimedia performance and analytics reporting
  • Key measures of success include: 
    • Increased audio listenership and video viewership across Crunchyroll multimedia channels and projects
    • Support Crunchyroll flywheel priorities (Ecomm, Global Commerce, SVOD, Theatrical, etc.

In the role of Multimedia Producer, you will report to the Sr. Manager, Global Audience Development Multimedia & Editorial.

About You

We get excited about candidates, like you, because...

  • You have 4+ years of experience in digital marketing, social media, video production, editorial, content programming, or digital publishing. 
  • You respect anime and its lifestyle and culture, and you are familiar with fandom culture.
  • You enjoy collaborating across different departments and content management, being able to remain creative and flexible while ensuring marketing goals are prioritized. 
  • You are comfortable with analytics tools, and SEO implementation, and can implement process/structural changes based on data and user behavior.
  • You have a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, English, Communications or a related field.

The Audience Development Multimedia and Editorial team at Crunchyroll is a newly formed team that sits at the center of cultural conversation, fan experiences, and news. Our team includes the industry-leading, award-winning global Crunchyroll News organization, as well as audio/video storytelling across Crunchyroll’s owned channels; and a team dedicated to spotlighting underrepresented voices from across the anime fandom and beyond.
