Copywriter Role (Boulder, Colorado)

This role will work as part of our global Content team, but be fully dedicated and reporting to the US market organization. The core responsibility of this role will include developing original content for SumUp US marketing campaigns, product landing pages, emails, sales material, and also publishing content on the US marketing website. You will be responsible for independently managing your workload, while regularly collaborating with global teams across Content, Design, Localization, Legal, Operations, and more. 

What you will do:

• Work with the US Brand, Online Marketing, Design, Sales and CRM teams to set the tone for our messaging and drive cohesive brand narratives across multiple platforms and touchpoints
• Create fresh and compelling copy for all our marketing channels, including emails, landing pages, web, event communications, product pages, and more
• In collaboration with our global website, shop, and dashboard teams, you will create and manage content and creative across the merchant-facing website
• Frequently optimize copy based on performance across paid and organic channels
• Support cross-functional messaging strategy for the US market across all points of the funnel: acquisition, conversion, retention, and everything in-between
• Working closely with our Global Localization Team to ensure global content is appropriately localized for the North American markets
• Enforce the cohesive SumUp brand voice, tone, and message across all customer touchpoints

 Why this is the right opportunity for you: 

• You have 3+ years of content or marketing writing experience
• You have a bachelor’s degree in journalism, marketing, writing, or another related field and have a portfolio that reflects your excellent creative and writing skills 
• You have native-level English writing skills. Any other language is a bonus! 
• You have exceptional communication skills, impeccable grammar, and the ability to seamlessly write for different digital channels within the SumUp tone of voice
• You’re collaborative and execution-focused, with excellent project management and time management skills
• You’re proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to function well in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with competing priorities

It’s a bonus if…

• You’re fluent in either Spanish or French
• You have experience writing marketing content for technology, finance or B2B brands
• You have experience working with global/international brands and localizing content into American English
• You have experience in content/website management experience (including different content management systems like WordPress, Zendesk or Contentful)

SumUp is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices.  The salary range for this position in Boulder, CO is $66,000 to $75,000.  Compensation will be finalized by the candidate’s relevant work experience, skills, certifications and geographic location.
