Databricks’ Corporate Development & Ventures team partners with leadership to identify and execute acquisitions and strategic investments to support our corporate and product strategy. We are a high-impact and active team, with ~10 closed acquisitions and 30+ investments in the past two years. The Corporate Development & Ventures Manager will be an essential team member supporting the management and execution of the company’s end-to-end acquisition and strategic investment activities - from sourcing to evaluation and transaction execution.
The impact you will have:
Support M&A and investment strategy:
- Support the development and advancement of M&A and Databricks Ventures opportunities by partnering with the Executive Leadership, Product Management, Engineering, and Product Partnerships teams to identify and qualify high impact opportunities.
- Drive strategic and financial evaluation of opportunities and communicate findings in business case memos and executive presentations.
- Follow key competitive/market trends to document and inform our view of the competitive landscape and rapidly evolving ecosystem.
- Support transaction execution end-to-end:
- Lead financial modeling & analysis for transactions and strategic projects.
- Support a rigorous, cross-functional due diligence process in conjunction with the deal lead.
- Support ad-hoc integration activities after deal close.
- Be a primary point of contact to internal Databricks cross-functional deal team during the entire transaction lifecycle.
- Build our Corporate Development capability:
- Support sector analyses and pipeline building activities.
- Build relationships with internal stakeholders and relevant partners, advisers, and investors in our ecosystem.
- Support creating frameworks and processes to enable scale.
What we look for:
- BA or BS undergraduate degree required; CS degree a plus
- 4+ years of work experience in corporate development, investment banking, private equity, or venture capital in the technology industry; exposure to product management in enterprise B2B or the data sector is a plus
- Experience building financial and operating models and valuing companies
- Excellent quantitative and qualitative analytical skills; exceptional attention to detail
- Self-directed and resourceful with ability to work cross-functionally and communicate effectively to executives
- Strong drive to rapidly grow into a deal lead role

Pay Range Transparency
Databricks is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range(s) for this role is listed below and represents base salary range for non-commissionable roles or on-target earnings for commissionable roles. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, relevant certifications and training, and specific work location. Based on the factors above, Databricks utilizes the full width of the range. The total compensation package for this position may also include eligibility for annual performance bonus, equity, and the benefits listed above. Zone 1 Pay Range$105,200—$186,100 USD
