A taster of what you will be involved with

The Senior DevOps Engineer is a highly skilled professional with excellent knowledge on infrastructure technologies both on-prem and cloud. As Senior DevOps Engineer you will create strategic solutions for managing corporate services and improve technical operations best practices for the team, driven by eagerness to learn and use modern and emerging technologies with passion. This role will connect the dots for various business needs in multiple locations, determining the best approach and solution to ensure that services are professional supported while keeping costs down.  The Senior DevOps Engineer is an excellent team player, works under minimal supervision and is willing to consult and share knowledge. The position calls for an individual who can coach and mentor the team from a technical perspective

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Your main goal is ultimately to create strategic solutions for managing corporate services and improve technical operations best practices for the team. To this end, you will be expected to: 

• Design, maintain and develop a Corporate Infrastructure supporting the Betsson’s business requirements.
• Design, maintain and develop documentation and knowledge sharing in via online tools.
• Take ownership of systems and service monitoring.
• Focus on implementing continual improvement.
• Provides technical expertise to enable the correct application of operational procedures.
• Contributes to architecting technical solutions to meet Betsson’s dynamic business requirements.
• Contributes to the planning and implementation of maintenance and installation work.
• Identifies operational problems and contributes to their resolution, checking that they are managed in accordance with agreed standards and procedures.
• Administration and handling of Betsson’s Cloud and On-Prem Infrastructure, Corporate Services such as Active Directory and Office 365, amongst others.
• Uses standard procedures and tools to carry out defined system backups, restoring data where necessary.
• Be expected to work on call and/or on shifts as per business requirements.

What we are looking for

• Experience on infrastructure including traditional On-Prem and Cloud Services (especially AWS and Azure). 
• Knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMWare), monitoring technologies and tools. 
• Experience using IaC (Terraform / Ansible). 
• Experience on MS SQL (Or Similar). 
• Automation, Security, Configuration and Version Management skills. 
• Coding Experience and Scripting Skills (C#, Python, PowerShell, Node JS). 
• Office 365. 
• Knowledge of procedures and tools to carry out defined system and data backups and restores. 
• Vender specific certifications (AWS, Microsoft, VMWare, Cisco, Veeam). 
• Service mindset. 
• Willingness to go the extra mile for supporting colleagues. 

Would be great to also possess: 

• Tertiary Education and / or a bachelor’s degree in IT / Computer Science.
• Clear verbal & written communication.  
• Professional working proficiency in English.
