The Commercial Legal Team at Pinterest negotiates Pinterest’s inbound and supplier agreements. We are looking for a Commercial Counsel with a strong background in negotiating complex real estate and workplace services agreements and commercial transactions to join our team. The position will manage workloads for and relationships with several of our cross functional partners (including Real Estate/Workplace, Engineering Services, Outsourced Services and Benefits).

What you’ll do:

  • Autonomously negotiate a high volume of complex real estate, workplace services, benefits vendor agreements, SaaS and other commercial transactions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Use your knowledge of data security, data privacy, AI and general commercial concerns to counsel the business on risks related to their transactions and offer best practices for addressing such risks in supplier agreements.
  • Offer practical legal advice with a “business first” risk based approach that ensures our clients have a seamless, efficient and positive experience with the Commercial Legal Team.
  • Manage outside counsel and contract attorneys.
  • Partner closely with internal business partners, attorneys and contracts managers to develop processes and systems to scale globally.

What we’re looking for:

  • JD with 4+ years of experience negotiating complex real estate and commercial transactions (preferably with at least 1 year in-house).
  • Experience negotiating workplace, outsourced services and engineering service agreements and comfort handling SaaS agreements,  data privacy, data security and general commercial related concerns.
  • Strong communication skills, particularly in the ability to clarify legal jargon and contract structure.
  • A collaborative, team player who likes relationship building across the organization.
  • A problem solver who can anticipate needs and offer solutions in collaboration with business partners.

In-Office Requirement Statement:

  • We recognize that the ideal environment for work is situational and may differ across departments. What this looks like day-to-day can vary based on the needs of each organization or role.
  • This role will need to be in the office for in-person collaboration 1-2 times every 6-months and therefore can be situated anywhere in the country.
