About the role

As a passionate and collaborative creative copywriter, you’ll write persuasive copy that cuts through the noise. You’ll be comfortable combining the strength of the Deliveroo tone of voice with smart conceptual thinking, ensuring that the brand's message resonates with our audiences and captures people’s attention across various platforms.

What you'll be doing

  • You’ll write copy for emails, paid social, flyers, POS, radio, OOH and more. You'll partner with our designers to develop concepts and help present those ideas to stakeholders.
  • As a guardian of the Deliveroo tone of voice, you'll help maintain it throughout all touch points and work with our partner agencies to ensure the work they produce is on-brand. 
  • You’ll be a creative problem solver, confident asking questions and able to untangle tricky briefs.
  • You'll be able to juggle multiple projects and work quickly when needed, interrogating briefs when necessary and taking on feedback in an open and collaborative manner. 
  • You'll work alongside two Senior Copywriters, as well as designers, project managers and artworkers, and collaborate with other departments such as Brand, Product, CRM, Social, etc, as required.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a copywriter in a marketing or advertising environment, with demonstrable copywriting experience in the form of a portfolio.
  • Varied experience showing the ability to adapt copy to fit across a variety of channels, showcasing versatility and adaptability in writing styles.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn and adapt with a fast-growing business, driven to inject insights and creativity into the most basic copy.
  • Curiosity, with an interest in food trends.
