Creative Engineer
This role is within our ArtBot team (part of Critical Mass)
Innovating Digital Marketing Through Creative and Performance Engineering
Please note this is not a mechanical engineering role.
Job Description
With a holistic view and understanding of an overall campaign/ecosystem, the Creative Engineer will work with a team of designers to format and build complex creative frameworks to enable at scale production of content for our global clients. These frameworks will adhere to both best practices and client brand standards. This individual should love data as much as they love good design. The ideal candidate will be excited by the possibilities for innovation found between understanding how data can influence design and how clever design can drive data results. This individual is detail-oriented, organized, and pragmatic. They also live to solve puzzles. Partnering with creative, account, strategy, and media teams, they will use their knowledge of digital platforms to influence test-and-learn approaches and anticipate how creative can be evolved for the better.
You will:
- Design solutions that meet or exceed strategic objectives.
- Create interactive design concepts.
- Design mood boards, storyboards, interactive page layouts, site grids and interface demos, photo retouches and enhancements, and animated GIFs.
- Provide quality assurance on creative deliverables.
- Build and maintain a rapport with creative team, account managers, and project managers.
You have:
- 1+ years design and interactive work experience.
- Strong design portfolio.
- Strong visual, interactive and graphic design skills.
- Solid working knowledge of the latest design toolsets.
- Time management skills to manage responsibilities and to always be prepared.
- An ability to brainstorm and contribute to the bigger idea.
- Developed and diverse communication skills to articulate creative ideas.
- A proven aptitude for fast-paced creative thinking with acute attention to detail within demanding deadlines.
- A self-motivated and accountable attitude.
- Experience in the latest versions of Mac OS, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
- An understanding of the strengths and limitations of After Effects, QuickTime, Director, and ImageReady, as well as information architecture and hierarchy.
- Comprehensive understanding of interactivity and the Web.Illustration in both electronic and traditional media.
- Motion graphics experience for the Web and video
