We are looking for a Creative Manager who will oversee bringing the HelloFresh, Chefs Plate, and Factor brand visions to life in consumer facing creative assets and help fuel our growth in the Canadian market. Reporting into the Director of Brand, the Creative Manager will be the head of our Canadian in-house creative team bringing to life creative and design solutions across multiple areas within brand and performance marketing, retention and in-box experience, as well as product and operations.

  • Lead and develop an in-house and freelance creative team of designers, copywriters, and creative operations to create breakthrough marketing assets across online and offline channels (paid social, display, affiliate, web, CRM, direct mail, OOH, print) and key product and operations assets (packaging, recipe cards, and vehicle designs). 
  • Be a thought leader, advocating and experimenting on the latest best practices, tools, and trends within the industry to continuously optimize creative work, operate efficiently,  and keep HelloFresh at the forefront of the industry. 
  • Champion the brand voice and standards by upholding brand guidelines across assets for a cohesive visual strategy and tone in all channels. 
  • Drive a thoughtful triple brand approach between HelloFresh, Chefs Plate, and Factor to ensure creative distinctiveness within our portfolio.
  • Be responsible for the intake and on time delivery of creative assignments, managing team resources and prioritizing simultaneous projects for a variety of stakeholders.
  • Analyze the performance of marketing creative assets across different channels and make data-driven recommendations for creative improvements.
  • Identify and drive key areas where design thinking can positively impact the business and elevate creative effectiveness across brands.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (marketing, product, culinary, operations) to ensure consistent brand messaging and a seamless customer journey across all creative touchpoints. 
  • Regularly connect and collaborate with key global and US creative team stakeholders on best practices, creative direction, and share strong work across markets.
  • Recruit and manage a team of freelancers as required.
  • All other duties, as assigned

You have: 

  • 6+ years of design experience creating a diverse range of print and digital designs, including 2+ years as a Senior Designer or Art Director. 
  • 1-2 years of leadership experience with leading a team of creatives. (across both design and copywriting is a plus)
  • Relevant experience working with consumer facing brands and B2C assets across digital, video, and print. Experience in food and beverage is a plus.
  • Experience drafting business cases around creative resourcing, creative business impact, and overall value of design for senior stakeholders
  • Experience pitching design thinking and concept ideas to senior stakeholders
  • Strong experience with Adobe programs such as Figma,  InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator - Adobe Premiere is a plus!
  • Proven working experience with Animation software: AfterEffects. 
  • Experience with motion/animation for multiple channels including digital, display, and email marketing activities.
  • An understanding of different marketing channel objectives from offline to online channels and their role in driving awareness, conversion, and retention.
  • Experience working with established branding systems and guidelines
  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of HTML/CSS/CMS/Wordpress, (Front end web development experience a plus)
  • UX experience and understanding
  • Experience with food photography and videography is an asset
  • Knowledge of marketing analytics and A/B testing is an asset
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, startup/scale up environment is an asset
