Our Opportunity:

Chewy is looking for a Creative Scrum Master to join our Marketing Creative Studio Operations Team based in Plantation, FL. At Chewy, the Creative Scrum Master is responsible for driving the successful, on-time execution and delivery of Social content with the collaboration of the Social Scrum team. Through the management of backlogs, timelines, and collaboration across teams, you will remove hurdles and communicate progress to stakeholders. You will proactively be identifying, monitoring, problem-solving, and communicating potential roadblocks, escalating if necessary.

In this role, you will be the key player in establishing and driving the adoption of agile methodology with the Social Scrum team. This would include developing and training out the use of a product and sprint backlog, sprint runs, stand-ups, and agile ceremonies with appropriate stakeholders. Through your guidance, we will gain an understanding of velocity and efficiency in social content production that can be scaled across production teams. This role is critical to the success of the Social Scrum team and learning how we improve quality and speed to market. You have experience and thrive on mobilizing an agile scrum team to consistently exceed expectations on the creative of digital content. You are an excellent communicator, an enthusiastic and proactive problem solver who is engaged at all levels of the work, possessing a heightened sense of ownership, responsibility, and accountability with a proven track to lead projects from planning through completion.

What You’ll Do:

  • Guide a highly engaged Social Scrum Team through Agile methodology
  • Collaborate with Marketing stakeholders to establish a product backlog and refine as needed
  • Establish a sprint and agile ceremonies structure and cadence, iterating accordingly
  • Coach the scrum team and Marketing stakeholders on agile methodology
  • Consistently deliver multiple, concurrent projects that drive customer value, and anticipated ROI that directly impact customers
  • Partner with Marketing, Performance, and Merchandise teams to develop tailored, actionable agile ways of working with an emphasis on quality and speed to market
  • Master and utilize workflow software tools to successfully navigate through project stage gates and deliverables as well as capture key project data to support business initiatives, decisions, goals, and growth
  • Proactively identify and resolve time-sensitive project challenges with a positive, collaborative, solutions-focused approach
  • Work directly with Marketers, Channel Owners, and Creative to ensure seamless, end-to-end, on-time project completion
  • Possess knowledge of quality assurance methodologies and ownership/management of our QA processes to ensure projects are completed on time to the highest standard
  • Be the subject matter expert in all areas of the scrum output, proactively setting and managing expectations on an ongoing basis throughout
  • Build strong working relationships, establishing a role with internal and external partners as a trusted resource and advisor

What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, or related field
  • Experience leading a Scrum team in a Marketing environment
  • Minimum 5-7 years experience in a fast-paced setting or similar Marketing environment managing multiple, cross-functional projects simultaneously, with a proven ability to use analytical, innovative, and quick-on-your-feet thinking to adapt project plans while still delivering on time and on budget
  • Experience in Multi-Channel environments with a heavy lean in the Digital Marketing space; having an in-depth understanding of processes and specifications
  • Proficient in utilizing project management software tools to manage and optimize process workflows and assignments, including maintenance of key project details and data points
  • Effective and results-driven management of design and creative processes, ensuring that the team provides both high-quality and cost-effective deliverables while upholding the client’s brand standards and acting as a brand steward
  • Excellent attention to detail is a must as you will be responsible for the quality control of assets
  • Experience managing and overseeing agile workflow in a creative environment
  • Effective negotiation and problem-solving skills required
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a high-volume, fast-paced creative environment
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud applications
  • Skilled in file and asset management in a shared server/location, enterprise-level project management software environment with a strong understanding of required asset type by final deliverable
  • A demonstrated track record of gaining trust and respect by consistently illustrating sound critical thinking skills and maintaining composure in potentially stressful situations
  • Travel is expected 10% of the year
