Reports to: Associate Director of Creative Strategy

VaynerCommerce is a Growth and Performance Marketing Firm. Initiated in 2018, it officially launched in 2020 as a new type of firm for modern brands to partner with to drive sustainable growth. VaynerCommerce is a digital-first firm that takes an engineering approach to driving sustainable growth. It was started by former early Shopify Plus employees, and was born from the frustration that brands were left with no good options in the market when it came to building sustainable online customer growth. VaynerCommerce serves as a strategic partner, with an implementation arm across growth marketing, data science, design, media & creative, and digital product, CRM, and retention for brands that want to sustainably grow their Direct-to-Consumer business. VaynerCommerce works across Fortune 100, Venture Capital, and Private Equity-backed consumer brands.

What You Will Do:

The Creative Strategist supports VaynerCommerce growth engagement and performance teams on ensuring we’re leveraging real-time quantitative and qualitative insights to feed our creative execution. This role is highly cross-functional, collaborating closely with the growth and media teams to analyze and implement data-driven recommendations to improve outcomes for creative approach. Then working with Vayner Creators to execute that approach. Creative Strategists can stretch from briefing new visual productions to writing creative copy based on consumer research and performance insights.

 

You are the driver of a brand’s creative execution, continuously harnessing consumer behavior and industry trends into persuasive content. You should excel at:

  • Identifying the aspects of a Brand that will most connect with a consumer’s needs to develop concepts that bridge the gap between a product and its core audience
  • Writing copy that converts. Whether it’s in paid social ads or on the brand’s website, your writing is the first step in driving customer behavior
  • Analyzing performance data to improve creative and develop hypotheses behind strategic best practices

    Responsibilities:

    • Research our client’s existing creative, competitors, develop personas, and create Strategy Bibles that detail your research to the rest of the team.
    • Present and interface with clients - pitch creative ideas, work through feedback and create sprint plans. 
    • Drive clients creative strategy from ideation to execution
    • Develop and Write Post-Production briefs that align with the Strategic approach for each Brand. 
    • Review ads and provide feedback to Editors to create the best ads possible.
    • Develop a deep understanding of our client’s Brands, Brand Guides, and any Do’s/Don’ts that they provide to ensure the team has the correct approach.
    • Pull data outlining the performance of ads we have created and analyze the data to continue building out the proper strategic approach for our creative.

    What We're Looking For:

    • Ideally 2-3 years of advertising experience, developing and creating for digital / social strategies + campaigns. Bachelor's degree a plus
    • An informed perspective of what makes good copy and how to connect to a diverse customer base
    • Demonstrated understanding of the marketing funnel and its application to paid social platforms (i.e., Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, etc.)
    • Background in behavioral psychology and product strategy a plus
    • Be adaptable, understanding and enforcing that a big idea can come from anywhere
    • Have a strong creative vision and experience in managing client/agency needs and objectives

    Base Salary$55,000—$70,000 USD
