THE TEAM: Corporate Operations

 

The Corporate Operations team is responsible for creating systems that connect our teams, drive business alignment, and build a stronger, more collaborative workplace. With a cloud-first approach, we empower our global ZEOs with increased productivity and self-service to enable company growth, scale, and flexibility while hardening our security and compliance posture.

 

As a CRM Data Steward on the Corporate Data team with Corporate Operations, you will play a crucial role in curating the data required to deliver an exceptional experience across the entire customer lifecycle. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders who depend on customer data, particularly in Marketing, Sales, and Customer Services. You will also work closely with your teammates on the Corporate Data team to improve data governance processes.  The ideal candidate should possess a strong analytical mindset and excellent research and communication skills.

 

This is a remote position. 

What you’ll do

 

As a CRM Data Steward, you'll support the following company objectives:

  • Zuora maintains a unique identity for every potential, current, and former customer
    • Ensure the CRM contains a distinct account record for each potential or existing customer (corporate entity).
    • Conduct thorough research to identify and merge duplicate accounts, maintaining data integrity.
  • Zuora maintains a unique identity for every person of interest in each account
    • Verify and maintain unique contact records for each person of interest within each account.
    • Investigate and resolve any duplicate or inaccurate contact information.
  • Zuora has accurate firmographic data for each account
    • Validate and update key firmographic data points such as company name, location, revenue, employees, industry, and business model.
    • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to gather accurate and current information.
  • Zuora has correctly located each account within its corporate hierarchy
    • Identify and accurately categorize business units, subsidiaries, divisions, etc., within large corporate hierarchies as potential customers.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure comprehensive and precise corporate hierarchy data.
  • Zuora's account and contact data stays current
    • Periodically review account and contact records to identify and rectify obsolete or irrelevant information.
    • Implement data cleansing procedures and maintain a high standard of data hygiene.

 

Your experience

Must have:

  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in data management, data quality assurance, or a similar role.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems, preferably Salesforce.
  • Strong analytical and research skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.

Nice to have:

  • Experience with data cleansing and deduplication tools.
  • Understanding of business processes and corporate structures.
  • Knowledge of best practices in data governance and data quality management.
