Curation Manager
As a member of the Curation team, you will work within Vimeo Marketing to build relationships with our creative community and foster engagement in ways that expand and deepen those relationships. Your work will focus primarily on the Staff Picks program which surfaces and celebrates the best videos and creators on Vimeo. Reporting to the VP, Industry and Influencer Relations, the Curation Manager will also play a proactive role shaping the future of the Staff Picks brand and leading new initiatives to increase the team’s impact both internally within Vimeo and externally within the creative pro segment.
As a Curation Manager, you have an insatiable appetite for watching films and videos from leading and emerging creators and identifying and promoting quality content, fresh trends, and new talent. The successful candidate will evangelize Vimeo within the agency, film, and online video content communities, emphasizing Vimeo’s strength as the authority on all things video and always seeking the latest trends in video creation.
What you’ll do:
- Identify and curate content (including but not limited to Staff Picks) that attracts creative professionals and marketers to Vimeo and helps expand Vimeo’s value to existing users.
- Plan, execute, and increase impact of ongoing Curation/Community programs.
- Develop and own relationships with our creative community, manage influential industry relationships, and build a deep database of external thought-leaders.
- Represent Vimeo externally – attending industry events and festivals, serving on juries, giving presentations, speaking on panels
- Organize and maintain the Curation Team’s internal database to track and evaluate content
- Work effectively across teams and support the marketing team’s product and campaign launches and other marketing needs
- Measure and track impact of Curation programs.
Skills and knowledge you should possess:
- 5-6 years of experience with content creation, community management, and talent/creator management
- Proven history of being a self-starter, from conceptualizing new ideas to executing them
- Comfortable working collaboratively with a small, but mighty team
- Proven passion for all things video and championing creators
- Broad taste and familiarity with a diverse array of video and filmmaking styles
- Excellent communication, writing, and presentation skills
- Proficiency with spreadsheets (Excel, Google Docs, etc.)
- Sense of humor and curiosity is a requirement
Targeted Base Salary Range: $78,300.00 to $120,000.00
The base salary range listed above is for candidates located in the U.S., including the New York City metro area.
