THE OPPORTUNITY

CONTEXT 

Within the Customer Success team, the Customer Data Manager is dedicated to

  • KYC Management: Participate and roll-out the KYC strategy and processes defined for the company. Ensure effective deployment of the KYC policy with all contributors and ensure data quality for enabling accounts expansion.
  • Customer Contact & Company Data Management: part of KYC, prioritize customer contact management and company management to ensure Extranet data is up-to-date and well managed. Own the process for creating, validating, and updating customer data.
  • Customer Satisfaction Survey: Coordinate, launch, and analyze the global Customer Satisfaction Survey twice a year, collaborating with business departments to monitor action plans for improving customer satisfaction, which is key for account growth.
  • Extranet Enhancements for Customer data: Project steering to centralize and prioritize business needs. Collaborate with the R&D Extranet team to provide adequate enhancements to the CSM community. Ensure to collect and prioritise the business needs for Customer Data Management.

ROLE

Here at Ivalua, we are currently looking for a digital-savvy Customer Data Manager to oversee the collection, analysis, and management of customer data across the organization. This role is pivotal in ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and availability to support business decision-making and enhance customer experience. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and maintaining data governance processes, tools enhancements, ensuring compliance with data standards, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve data-driven strategies.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a deep passion for data, analysis, and be a strategic thinker. You must have an outgoing personality as this role will collaborate with a variety of leaders from various organizations within the company.

WHAT YOU WILL DO WITH US

  • Manage day-to-day customer data operations, including collection, input, validation, and maintenance of customer data from multiple sources, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and consistency
  • Conduct regular audits of customer data processes and tools, identify gaps or discrepancies, and implement immediate improvements to maintain high data quality standards
  • Maintain and optimize customer databases and tools, including operating and enhancing existing tools on the Extranet for the CSM team
  • Participate in the bi-annual Customer Satisfaction Survey operations, supporting data collection and analysis
  • Support and coordinate customer data management projects by scheduling meetings, tracking progress, managing budgets, and communicating effectively with stakeholders such as executives, CSMs, Sales, Sales Ops, Finance and Extranet
  • Collaborate closely with CSM, customer service, marketing, sales and finance teams to ensure smooth data flows and alignment with business objectives
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and internal policies, applying necessary security measures in daily operations
  • Generate regular reports and dashboards using Excel (pivot tables) and BI tools to provide actionable insights to business teams
  • Act as the primary point of contact for customer data-related questions and issues, providing hands-on support and troubleshooting
  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve customer data workflows and tools by adopting practical solutions to enhance efficiency
  • Facilitate clear communication between technical teams and business users to ensure data requirements are well understood and met

YOUR PROFILE

If you have the below experience and strengths, this role could be for you:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Data Management, Business, or related field
  • At least 4 years of hands-on experience in customer data management or a similar operational role with project management on data
  • Good technical skills including Excel (pivot tables) & BI reporting tools. SQL is a plus
  • Proven experience in project coordination: organizing meetings, tracking deliverables, managing budgets, and stakeholder communication and follow-up
  • Solid understanding of data governance and data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA)
  • Experience working with CRM systems such as Salesforce, HubSpot, ServiceNow, or Microsoft Dynamics
  • Ability to analyze data and create reports that support business decision-making
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and a focus on data accuracy
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
  • Excellent communication skills, able to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Fluent in English and French
  • Willingness to travel internationally (mainly USA, approximately once per semester)
