Customer Engineer
As Narvar continues to dominate the post-purchase space, we are seeing a massive shift in the retail landscape: Many of our customers are already using or moving to Shopify or Shopify Plus. To support this evolution, we are hiring a Customer Engineer specializing in the Shopify ecosystem.
While our core CE team handles our broader product suite, you will coming in an join us as one of our "Shopify Gurus" You will own the technical success of brands migrating to or scaling on Shopify, ensuring Narvar integrates seamlessly with their storefronts, checkout logic, and back-office apps. You aren't just a generalist; you are the person who understands the nuances and the complexities of the Shopify ecosystem. You’ll be the bridge that ensures Narvar’s products and post-purchase magic are implemented seamlessly within the customers Shopify environment.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities- Shopify Integration implementation: Lead the technical implementation for customers using Shopify, ensuring Narvar’s tracking, returns, and communications modules are set up and working with the Shopify backend.
- Migration Lead: Act as the primary technical point of contact for brands migrating from legacy OMS/platforms (like Magento or Salesforce) to Shopify, ensuring zero data loss and a seamless end user experience in the post-purchase experience.
- App & Ecosystem Management: Navigate and configure the "connective tissue" between Shopify and Narvar, including managing Shopify webhooks, Metafields, and third-party app interactions (e.g., Klaviyo, Gorgias, or ERP connectors). Learn how Narvar and Shopify work together
- Custom Solution Development: Write and deploy custom scripts or use Shopify Flow to solve unique business logic requirements that standard "out-of-the-box" integrations can’t handle.
- Advanced Troubleshooting: Serve as an expert for Shopify-specific issues—debugging API authentication errors, Liquid code snippets on the storefront, or order fulfillment data mismatches.
- Internal Subject Matter Expert: Educate the broader Customer Engineering and Product teams on Shopify’s roadmap and API changes, ensuring Narvar’s internal tools stay ahead of platform updates.
- Technical Documentation: Create "Gold Standard" integration guides for Shopify setups, ensuring that custom workflows are documented for long-term health and internal supportability.
- 3-5+ years of experience in technical implementation or integration engineering.
- Postman/API specialist: Proficiency with api’s and json as well as tools like postman
- Web Tech: Strong foundations in JavaScript, APIs (REST/SOAP), and webhooks.
