The Role

This role can be filled in our office in Munich.As a Community Events Manager, you will be the driving force behind creating memorable online and offline events that foster meaningful connections within our community. You will work closely with the community managers and other team members to organize and execute a variety of events, from virtual webinars and workshops to in-person meetups and social gatherings

What you need to succeed

  • Event Planning: Collaborate with the community managers to plan a diverse range of online and offline events, considering the preferences and interests of our community members.

  • Logistics Coordination: Handle all logistics for events, including venue selection, catering arrangements, A/V equipment setup, and coordinating with vendors when necessary.

  • Promotion: Work with internal teams to create event promotion strategies, including email campaigns, social media marketing, and community outreach, to maximize attendance and engagement.

  • Online Event Execution: Manage the technical aspects of online events, including setting up and moderating webinars, live streams, and virtual meetings. Ensure a smooth and engaging online experience for attendees.

  • Offline Event Execution: Oversee the execution of in-person meetups, ensuring that all aspects run smoothly, from registration and check-in to managing event schedules and troubleshooting issues.

  • Community Engagement: Facilitate engaging interactions and discussions among community members during events, fostering a sense of belonging and participation.

  • Internal Team Collaboration: Work with internal teams (marketing, product, community, sales, etc) to ensure that our events bring value to the business and that lines of communication remain open as we continually expand the reach of our customer events.

  • Feedback Collection: Gather feedback from attendees after events to assess their experiences and make continuous improvements to future events.

  • Budget Management: Manage event budgets, including tracking expenses and ensuring cost-effective event planning.

Your Learnings

  • 3+ years experience in event management, planning and coordination, both online and offline.

  • Strong organizational and project management skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Tech-savvy with the ability to work with various online event platforms and software.

  • Creativity and the ability to brainstorm and implement innovative event ideas.

  • Flexibility to work evenings or weekends as required for event execution.

  • A passion for building and nurturing communities.

  • Fluency in both English and German
