We're looking to welcome to our team a Customer Success Director who will play a key role in ensuring the success and satisfaction of our customers with specific focus on Small Merchants. The Customer Success Director will be responsible for a high-performing team dedicated to building strong relationships, addressing customer needs, and fostering loyalty among our merchant base. The person will be based in either of our offices in Dublin, Berlin, Paris, Barcelona or London depending on their preference and reporting to VP, Operations.

What you’ll do

  • Co-develop and execute a comprehensive customer success strategy that aligns with SumUp's overall business goals.
  • Guide and develop a customer success team of +40 people based in different locations in Europe.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with customers, ensuring their success and satisfaction. Proactively identify and address their needs.
  • Promote SumUp's products and identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling.
  • Continuously improve customer success processes and workflows to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Marketing, Product, and Support, to ensure a seamless customer experience. 

You’ll be great for this role if:

  • You have experience in Customer Success, Management Consulting or Account Management areas
  • Ideally you bring experience from high growth and multi-country Tech environment 
  • You have successfully built and managed teams 
  • You have experience managing a variety of global stakeholders and act as a trusted partner
  • You have project management skills and ability to mobilize cross-functional teams towards common goals
  • You have experience of developing and implementing customer centric strategies and initiatives
  • You’re a strong communicator
