Our Data Engineering team is looking for a BI Developer to join the team! 

The Wow

You will be working in a squad of BI Developers, within the Data team, taking care of the full Data Product offered to various data consumers. The role will include work on new and existing BI dashboards and reports, extracting ad hoc data sets, as well as offering support to the Data product.

A taster of what you will be involved with: 
  • Work on projects that require development of Business Intelligence reports, dashboards, infographics, and related visuals.
  • Select the best data visualization technique based on the characteristics of underlying data in order to illustrate certainty, patterns or other statistical concepts that will guide decision-makers.
  • Work with a range of latest technologies including Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), Qlik, and Snowflake.
  • Complete ad-hoc report requests from business stakeholders leveraging BI tools.
  • Support the Data product consumers requesting help via the Data Service Desk or via other channels.
  • Work on internal BI projects such as data model improvements, and Qlik load performance enhancements.
  • Focus on improving current BI reporting tools from a visualisation perspective.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, business teams, and development teams to provide data driven insight into the performance of the business, and what areas need improvement.
  • Identify ad-hoc reports which can be potentially automated to enable self-service access.
  • Investigate data issues and report findings to other development teams.
  You’re good at:
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Taking ownership of systems.
  • Working independently, without supervision, effectively prioritise and handle multiple tasks and projects.
  • Possess excellent English communication skills.

 

Technical:
  • At least 2 years’ experience in Business Intelligence reporting.
  • Very good knowledge of SQL is a must.
  • Experience in using reporting tools like Microsoft Reporting Services (SSRS), or similar tools like SAP Business Objects.
  • Experience in using visualisation tools QlikView, QlikSense, or similar tools like Tableau or Power BI.
  • Have a strong understanding of data warehouse and ETL concepts.
  • Possess a degree in a relevant technical area.
