About SIRA

StepStone Infrastructure and Real Assets ("SIRA") is a global team that focuses on supporting institutional investors across all stages of their infrastructure and real assets investment programs, including new and existing investments in infrastructure, agriculture, timber, energy and other emerging real assets sectors. SIRA has investment professionals with significant infrastructure and real asset experience, based in Canada, the US, the UK and Australia. SIRA has a dedicated data and intelligence team that leverage’s StepStone proprietary database of private market transactions to develop research and support tools that improve investment decision making for internal and external users.

Position Overview:

The SIRA DI Analyst will be responsible for development and maintenance of applications, data analytics and visualization tools focused on helping SIRA accelerate new initiatives and improve existing tools. The successful candidate will contribute a versatile and technical skillset to help SIRA achieve ambitious goals, including staying at the forefront of the industry when it comes to innovations in data and intelligence and technology, and creating analysis tools and applications that drive the next generation investment process and investor experience. The role offers the opportunity to interact with all aspects of the SIRA business, with the chance to work closely with the investment and operations teams and the broader StepStone Data Science and Engineering group.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Power BI Development: Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports to provide actionable insights for investment decision-making
  • Data Solutions Support: Assist in development and maintenance of other data applications involving Excel (including VBA) and SQL databases
  • Training and Support: Assist with the development of technical skills with the broader team and provide support to senior members in relation to investments, operations, and business management needs as required
  • Continuous Learning and Improvement: Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in Power BI and related technologies to continuously improve existing solutions, and the willingness to learn about private market investment in infrastructure
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
  • 2+ years professional experience in Power BI dashboard development across a number of projects
  • Proficiency in Excel, including VBA
  • Experience engaging with stakeholders that have a variety of backgrounds, such as the investment and operations teams
Other Desired Skills/Attributes:
  • Proficiency with Power Apps, Power Automate, SQL, and Python is not required at the time of hire. However, the successful candidate is expected to learn these skills on the job.
  • Eagerness to learn more about the investment landscape, specifically infrastructure and real assets
  • Flexibility – StepStone is a dynamic and entrepreneurial organization; all professionals are expected to perform multiple functions
  • Promote and demonstrate a positive, team-oriented attitude
