We need timely, accurate and scalable financial data to make accurate business decisions inside the company.

Due to continued and rapid growth we’re on the hunt for a Data Analyst to join our Growth and Strategic Finance Team in Shoreditch, London. You’ll be part of the team that helps pilot the rocket ship.What you’ll be doing:

  • Your main focus will be using your technical skills to identify trends, patterns and insights in our data which influence our growth. You will work together with data scientists to incorporate these findings into the growth forecast.
  • You will be responsible for developing and maintaining our data pipelines which automate the extraction, loading, and transformation of raw data into meaningful growth KPIs.
  • You will create compelling visualisations and reports to communicate how we are growing and what is driving our growth to stakeholders across the business.
  • You will work cross-team to ensure our data pipelines are reliable and relevant. You will translate insights into actionable strategies and initiatives.
  • This will involve working within our product and analyst community to deeply understand how our product and financial data link together. The structured processes you develop and maintain should be automated and controlled, as a team we strive for efficiency. 

This role will give you the opportunity to:

  • Play a crucial role in helping us understand what are the drivers of our growth are
  • Own data pipelines end to end and work alongside both our finance and product teams
  • Own your own path to success, you’ll have a high level of autonomy and responsibility
  • Learn and grow, there’s a lot to be done!

A bit about you:

  • Passionate about what we’re building at Wise
  • Love digging into data, numbers, thinking systematically, and analysing inter-dependencies
  • Strong command of SQL (and have used DBT before), ideally you also have experience with Python or you're willing to pick it up
  • You have owned and maintained data pipelines previously
  • Experience with data visualisation tools such as Looker, Superset or Tableau
  • Can work autonomously, take initiative and ownership of set tasks
  • Ability to operate to defined timelines, while working, presenting and effectively communicating with people from different backgrounds (from engineers to non-technical stakeholders)
  • Humble, comfortable operating with a level of uncertainty, keen to learn
  • Able to work across multiple teams, offices, time-zones with flexibility and a can do attitude
  • Eager to learn about modern systems and understand how they work
  • Legally authorised to work in the UK
Some important stuff we would like you to know

To meet our regulatory obligations as a licensed financial services company, Wise needs to conduct background checks on all new hires, which in the Finance team includes Criminal and Credit checks. Please discuss with the Recruiter if you have any concerns regarding this process.
