About the role

In the role of Data Analyst, Gaming, you will report to the Senior Manager, Data Analytics.

We are considering applicants for the location(s) of Los Angeles.

Crunchyroll is looking for a Data Analyst, Gaming to help us build our reporting infrastructure and define analytics best practices for our growing portfolio of games. You will create reporting dashboards allowing product managers and other internal partners to monitor the health of our games. You will conduct analysis on individual Free to Play games and portfolio-wide for our Game Vault games, examining business KPIs and player behavior. As a member of our centralized data team, your success will be measured by your ability to collaborate with and enable the success of our partners that work with Crunchyroll Games.

Core Areas of Responsibility

• Create and maintain Tableau dashboards monitoring the health of our games and measuring the success of Live-Ops Events and strategies
• Collaborate with product managers to design and conduct analysis targeting specific areas of our games, identify opportunities for improvement, and provide actionable recommendations to our partners
• Conduct cohort analysis for teams that will examine the relationship between viewers of our anime and players of our games to inform company-wide strategy
• Manage the design, integration, and validation of analytic tracking events for upcoming games

About You

• 2+ years of data analysis experience, to derive and communicate actionable insights
• 2+ years of SQL experience, to extract and transform complex gameplay data
• 2+ years of Excel or Google Sheets experience, to transform data into success metrics and measurable insights
• 2+ years of Tableau or other data visualization tools
• Passionate about games and anime

About the Team

You will join a small team responsible for gaming analytics within a larger centralized data organization called Center for Data & Insights or CDI. While CDI is an established team within Crunchyroll, supporting its analytics functions and requirements across business sectors, CDI Gaming is a new team growing alongside Crunchyroll Games. To ensure the successful launch and growth of more games, our team’s focus will be to enable our partners through data and insights and to build our infrastructure, process, and pipeline.

The Pay Range for this position is listed. Actual pay will vary based on factors including, but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Crunchyroll’s Total Rewards offerings for employees.
