The Trust & Safety team is dedicated to ensuring that all Pinners have a safe experience on Pinterest. This includes tackling challenging adversarial problems at scale, detecting policy-violating content, and ensuring Pinterest is legally-compliant. We’re looking for an analyst to analyze data and create strong signals and strategies to minimize abuse on the platform. This is a high-visibility role that touches almost every product area at Pinterest.

 

What you’ll do:

  • Protect users on Pinterest from bad actors and problematic trends
  • Perform in-depth investigations of intelligence sources to validate, scope, and understand threats
  • Identify signals, trends, and patterns via quantitative and qualitative analysis of internal and external data
  • Complete investigation reports with observations and action steps for stakeholders
  • Establish standardized procedures of intelligence triaging and investigation
  • Partner closely with Product Managers, Engineers, Policy and Operations to devise and execute on new strategies for combating abuse on Pinterest

 

What we’re looking for:

  • 2+ years of experience gathering, triaging, and investigating threat intelligence
  • 2+ years of experience working with / analyzing quantitative and qualitative data
  • Proficiency in SQL 
  • Familiarity with at least one programming language (Python or R preferred)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

 

In-Office Requirement Statement:

  • We let the type of work you do guide the collaboration style. That means we're not always working in an office, but we continue to gather for key moments of collaboration and connection.
  • This role will need to be in the office for in-person collaboration 1 x times per week and therefore needs to be in a commutable distance from the Dublin office. Visit our PinFlex landing page to learn more.
