Role: Data Analyst

ROLE MISSION

Working in partnership with our client, the Data Analyst will be a key member of the team. You will manage the reporting and analytics to track our team's financial and project health. You will partner with our operations team and work with the Managing Director and Program Director to build data dashboards that provide visibility and insights to team leads and internal and external stakeholders.  This role is remote but may require travel to client and/or agency offices for training and in-person meetings on occasion.   

 

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING IN YOUR ROLE

  • Using tools and interfaces to extract data from primary and secondary sources 
  • Data hygiene – performing analysis to assess the data quality, removing corrupted data, and fixing errors and related data problems 
  • Developing and maintaining databases and data systems – reorganizing data in a readable format if needed 
  • Using statistical tools and data modeling techniques to identify, analyze, and interpret patterns and trends in complex data sets 
  • Diagnose and predict business performance issues and identify ways in which The Studio can operate more efficiently 
  • Preparing reports and dashboards for the leadership team stating trends and patterns by compiling financial, performance, and operational data 
  • Develop reports including a full lifecycle analysis of all WIP projects by location; weekly and monthly reporting packs; global dashboards; customer business unity chargeback reports; YTD estimated revenue  
  • Create and develop other ad hoc reports based on customer-specific requests; 
  • Work with client and agency data teams to identify process improvement opportunities, propose system modifications, and comply with our data governance framework

WHAT SKILLS WILL HELP YOU BE SUCCESSFUL 

  • Proven working experience as a Data Analyst or Business Data Analyst. 
  • Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining, and segmentation techniques. 
  • Financial Services analytics experience is advantageous. 
  • 4 years of advanced Excel and statistical packages for analyzing datasets 
  • 4 years of experience with analytic and reporting tools, such as Zoho, Tableau, Power BI, etc. 
  • Strong mathematical, statistical, and analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy. 
  • Adept at queries, report writing, and presenting findings. 
  • Degree in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management, Statistics, or Business Management or demonstrably equivalent experience. 
  • Time management and organizational skills 

Software Experience Requirements 

  • Strong expertise in Microsoft Excel 
  • Experience with SQL and intermediate queries 
  • Analytics and dashboard tools such as Zoho, Tableau, Power BI, etc. 
  • Microsoft Office 365 (i.e., Microsoft Teams, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, OneDrive) and SharePoint
